Moody’s upgrades Alpha Bank’s long-term deposit ratings to Baa1

Moody’s has raised Alpha Bank’s long-term deposit ratings from Baa2 to Baa1. The decision is justified by an improvement in the Baseline Credit Assessment (from ba1 to baa3), falling non-performing exposures (NPE from 4.6% to 3.5%) and a higher NPE coverage ratio (47% to 57%). The MTN programme and AT1 instruments were also upgraded, while several other ratings remained unchanged and the outlook was revised to “stable”. Nottingham Building Society appoints Clodagh Gunnigle to the board

Nottingham Building Society has appointed Clodagh Gunnigle as a non-executive member of the board, effective 22 September 2025, subject to regulatory approval. Gunnigle will chair the remuneration committee and serve on the risk and audit committees. She brings experience from supervisory and leadership roles at Alpha Bank London, Admiral Financial Services, GE Capital and Arrow Global.
