Macquarie records strong growth in all business divisions in Q3 2026
Macquarie reports substantial gains in Q3 2026 at Macquarie Asset Management, Commodities and Global Markets, and Macquarie Capital, while Banking and Financial Services grew moderately. AUM stood at A$736.1bn, including the sale of the public-investments business in North America and Europe for about A$2.8bn, which resulted in roughly A$250bn transferring to Nomura. Deposits and mortgage loans increased (A$204.5bn and A$172.2bn respectively), and the digitalisation initiative contributed to scaling through an NPS of 24 and efficiency gains. Southern Water schedules creditor meetings for restructuring on 30 September
The High Court has ordered four creditor meetings for 30 September 2025, in which procedural creditors are to vote by videoconference on a scheme of arrangement under Part 26 of the Companies Act 2006. SWS Holdings provided creditors with an explanatory statement and commissioned independent Interpath reports on the counterfactual scenario and company valuation. The restructuring includes an equity-support offer led by a Macquarie-led fund consortium with a binding commitment of £655m and a memorandum of understanding for a further £245–545m by December 2025. MongoDB shares surged to a near nine-month high, climbing as much as 47% to $321.92 after reporting stronger Q2 results with revenues up 23.7% to $591 million and a narrowed net loss.
