M&G Credit Income Investment Trust appoints Christiane Elsenbach to the board of directors
Christiane Elsenbach has been appointed with immediate effect as an independent non‑executive director on the board of M&G Credit Income Investment Trust and will join the management engagement, nominations, remuneration and audit committees. Elsenbach brings more than 25 years of experience at global banks and asset managers, most recently as an Investment Director at Société Générale, and held no ordinary shares in the company at the time of her appointment. M&G Credit Income Trust: NAV return in Q4 1.27% below benchmark
M&G Credit Income Trust delivered a NAV total return of 1.27% in Q4 2025, missing the benchmark of 2.01%. Management attributed the underperformance to a defensive positioning, sacrificing short-term returns in favour of more attractive future opportunities. During the quarter the trust raised £7.3m from new share issuance and invested mainly in private or illiquid assets, including two regulatory capital transactions (£3.2m), an increase in the Delamare securitisation (£1.5m) and purchases in M&G loan and ABS funds (total £5.5m). M&G Credit Income Investment Trust delivered a NAV total return of 1.85% in Q3 2025, slightly below the 2.05% benchmark. Management attributes the weaker performance to a defensive positioning, with restraint toward short-term risk opportunities. During the quarter, equity issuances created around £10.7m of market capitalisation; the trust also invested £8m in the M&G Investment Grade ABS Fund, made selective bond purchases (including Ford, Oma Saastopankki, Southern Water) and invested £4.2m in private market assets.
