At an annual dividend of $0.90, this corresponds to a yield of 2.83%; the company thus continues an 18-year dividend streak. Lone Star to acquire Hillenbrand for $32.00 a share

Private-equity firm Lone Star is offering $32.00 per Hillenbrand share in cash, implying an enterprise value of about $3.8 billion and a 37% premium to the price before takeover rumors. Hillenbrand’s board unanimously approved the purchase. Closing is expected by the end of Q1 2026 and remains subject to shareholder approval and regulatory clearances. Private equity firm Lone Star Funds is reportedly in advanced takeover talks with Hillenbrand; a deal could be announced this week, but negotiations may also be delayed or fail. Headquartered in Batesville, Hillenbrand manufactures plastic components and processing equipment for industries such as automotive, packaging and electronics.
