BNY Mellon: ISS and Glass Lewis recommend incumbents for fund boards

Proxy advisors ISS and Glass Lewis advise shareholders of BNY Mellon Strategic Municipals and Strategic Municipal Bond Fund to vote for the three incumbent directors and to reject a dissident shareholder’s nominee. They cite no compelling performance reasons for a change; both funds have expanded their boards, increased dividends and rank in the first quartile on costs versus peers. BNY Mellon also points to a partial waiver of investment advisory fees through May 31, 2027, a reduction of the discount to NAV of more than 50% since the end of 2024, and urges shareholders to vote using the WEISSE proxy card. » Altro su de.investing.com
