The Swedish private‑equity group EQT and Norges Bank Investment Management have reportedly made a joint offer for Acciona Energia and formed a consortium in which EQT would hold about 75% and Norges Bank 25%. The consortium is competing with Ardian for the renewable‑energy company, whose enterprise value including debt is around €11.9 billion. Acciona SA holds 91.1% of Acciona Energia; the sale process has passed the stage of non‑binding offers, and meetings with management are underway before final bids are expected in October. Cleanaway shares rose 4.1% to A$2.675 after EQT Infrastructure ended the exclusivity period and confirmed its takeover offer. EQT reported no adverse findings from due diligence and did not lower the offer price; both parties are working on an implementation agreement, but a binding signing has not yet taken place. Additional buying interest was driven by the record date for the fully franked final dividend of 3.50 cents (payable 8 October 2026), which is 14.2% higher than last year. Swedish investment firm EQT is acquiring a majority stake in McGill and Partners from Warburg Pincus for $2 billion. Founder and CEO Steve McGill will remain in his role; founders, management and employees are reinvesting and will retain a significant stake. EQT plans to accelerate growth by hiring in key markets and expanding technology, data and AI capabilities.
