At prices on 28 October this corresponds to about 8.73 million shares, or 4.24% of share capital; the repurchased shares are to be cancelled through a capital reduction. Julius Bär proposes Caroline Kuhnert and Elaine Arden for election to the board of directors; the vote is planned at the general meeting in April 2027. Kuhnert brings about 20 years of experience in wealth management at UBS and expertise in private banking and the Swiss market. Arden was head of HR at HSBC and the Royal Bank of Scotland and is expected to add skills in cultural change, compensation, talent development and succession planning. Finma approved the buyback after closing its enforcement proceeding related to Signa losses and had previously lifted relaxed immediate measures.
