Lufthansa partner Air Baltic plans to cut up to 700 jobs

The Latvian airline Air Baltic, a partner of Lufthansa and Swiss, plans as part of a restructuring to cut around 500 to 700 of roughly 3,000 jobs. The plan calls for a smaller own A220-300 fleet and expanded year-round ACMI/wet-lease partnerships; the current flight schedule is not expected to be affected. Lufthansa bets on sharkskin film to reduce kerosene consumption
