Matthews International has appointed Michael J. Whitehead as president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Joseph C. Bartolacci, who is retiring after more than two decades. Whitehead joins from Lincoln Electric, where he most recently served as executive vice president and president, Americas Welding, overseeing a division with more than $2.5 billion in annual revenue and previously led business units with over $1 billion in revenue.
