SEALSQ integrates its hardware security solution QS7001 into Palm Technologies' biometric payment products PalmPay and provides the technology and technical support for the secure element. Palm Technologies takes on product architecture, biometric design, firmware, system integration, regulatory compliance and go-to-market, initially for MetPalm V1 in subways and toll systems. SEALSQ will launch the second phase of an investment program in September and plans to deploy an additional $100 million into quantum technology assets by the end of 2027. This will fund a total $200 million capital allocation program; more than $65 million has already been invested. The funds are intended for post-quantum semiconductors, quantum-resistant cryptography, secure communications, digital identity, edge computing, embedded AI and satellite infrastructure. SEALSQ has named Daniel Brau chief quantum officer. Brau joined SEALSQ through the acquisition of Miraex, the Swiss company he founded for photonics-based quantum interconnects; SEALSQ now uses Miraex as a subsidiary for quantum networks. He will lead the strategic and commercial development of the SEALQuantum ecosystem and transition quantum technologies into a revenue-generating platform.
