SoftBank in talks to buy majority stake in robotics startup 1X
SoftBank is negotiating the acquisition of a majority stake in 1X Technologies, the developer of the humanoid robot NEO. The potential transaction would value 1X at around $6 billion. SoftBank considers bond issuance of up to $20 billion to refinance OpenAI loan
SoftBank is in talks with investment banks about a possible bond issuance of $10–20 billion to refinance a bridge loan related to the OpenAI investment. The securities could be denominated in dollars and euros and placed as early as September; an issuance under Rule 144A is also being considered. Part of the proceeds would be used to repay the originally $40 billion bridge loan; SoftBank plans to invest around $65 billion in OpenAI by October, partly with borrowed funds. » Altro su de.investing.com

Sharply higher yields on long-term US Treasuries triggered a global sell-off in technology and chip stocks. SoftBank lost more than 10% after reports of a planned corporate bond issuance of about 1 trillion yen for retail investors.
