United Microelectronics misses Q2 2025 EPS despite revenue surprise

United Microelectronics (UMC) reported Q2 2025 revenue of $2.01 billion, beating estimates, while EPS of $0.12 missed the $0.14 forecast. Utilization rose to 76% and wafer shipments increased 6.3%; the company remains liquid with over $1 billion in cash.
