BKW buys the Öhringen-Karlsfurt wind farm from ABO Energy, increasing its onshore wind capacity in Germany by 33.6 MW to about 217 MW. BKW is reducing electricity prices in the basic supply again from 2027; a typical four-person household saves about 7.6 percent — for 4,500 kWh roughly CHF 7.90 per month or CHF 95 per year. From early 2027, BKW will also voluntarily offer a dynamic grid-usage tariff that grants discounts on sunny summer afternoons to encourage consumption when photovoltaic production is high.
