Agency MBS haben eine Garantie für die Kapitalzahlung durch eine Behörde der US-Regierung oder eine von der US-Regierung geförderte Einrichtung, wie Fannie Mae und Freddie Mac. Non-Agency MBS haben keine solche Zahlungsgarantie. Das Unternehmen hat sich für Bundeseinkommenssteuerzwecke als Immobilieninvestmentfonds qualifiziert.
