Moody’s downgrades Cable One and cuts outlook to negative
Moody’s has lowered Cable One’s corporate family rating from B1 to B2 and set the outlook to negative; the rating on unsecured senior notes was also downgraded. The move reflects weaker credit metrics after the acquisition of Mega Broadband, a continued decline in residential subscribers and longer recovery times for the broadband business. The acquisition increases debt by $480m to $1.4bn depending on the debt exchange, there is significant uncertainty about the long‑term capital structure and higher financing costs. Moody’s expects residential subscriber declines to continue through the end of 2026, low free cash flow and increased strain from capital‑intensive network investments. » More on de.investing.com
