  • Canada Goose expands assortment beyond parkas and aims for higher store profitability

Canada Goose announced at the Goldman Sachs conference that it will expand its product portfolio year-round; around 50% of units are now non-down products such as knits and fleece. E‑commerce is recording double-digit growth, while in-store traffic was weaker; the company aims to increase sales per square foot and bring more stores to an EBIT margin of at least 40%. For fiscal 2027 it expects revenue growth in the low single-digit percentage range; tariffs could pressure the margin by under 200 basis points, and SG&A is expected to grow slower than revenue. Marketing investments will be increased, and the brand expansion is intended to attract both new customers and repeat buyers, while Europe and China remain regionally uneven. » More on de.investing.com

  • CEO Dani Reiss of Canada Goose buys shares for about $1.06 million

Dani Reiss, through his vehicle DTR LLC, acquired 100,000 subordinate voting shares at an average price of approximately $10.623 per share for a total of about $1.062 million. After the purchase, Reiss beneficially owns 219,413 subordinate voting shares (about 0.48% of that class) and, through DTR, 20,130,334 multiple voting shares (39.47% of that class), giving him a total interest of about 21.00% of the outstanding shares and 36.28% of the voting rights. The securities were acquired for investment purposes pursuant to the exemption for purchases made in the ordinary course under National Instrument 62-104; Reiss also holds substantial options, restricted share units and performance share units and may make further transactions depending on market conditions. » More on de.investing.com

  • Canada Goose under pressure after Wells Fargo downgrade and tariff risks

Canada Goose shares fell about 5.5% in premarket trading after Wells Fargo cut its rating to "Underweight" with a C$10 price target and cited near-term structural risks. An announced U.S. tariff of 50% on certain Canadian imports from August 19 further clouds the company’s U.S. outlook. Earlier analyst downgrades and a weak market environment pushed the stock close to its 52-week low of around $8.3–$8.4. » More on de.investing.com
