Carter's rebrands to target Gen Z and millennial parents as sales momentum builds
Carter's is updating its visual identity and messaging to make the 161-year-old brand more relevant to younger Gen Z and Millennial parents, aiming to boost customer acquisition and lifetime value. The move complements a strategy of giving individual brands distinct identities and increased marketing investment. Sales showed improvement with five consecutive quarters of positive U.S. retail comparable sales, but margins remain pressured—Q2 U.S. retail operating margin was 1.4% and fiscal 2025 adjusted operating margin was 6.1%—raising execution and profitability risks for the rebrand. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Carter's rebrands to appeal to new generation of parents
Carter's is unveiling a rebrand with a new logo and marketing campaign aimed at Gen Z and modern parents as the company seeks to regain momentum. The move follows store closures, layoffs and three-year challenges that sent the stock down over 50% and trimmed market value to about $1 billion; adjusted net income fell to $126.1 million for fiscal 2025. New CEO Sharon Price John says the revamp will help reconnect with core customers, after recent signs of recovery including a 10.5% rise in U.S. comparable sales in Q1 2026. The rebrand rolls out across channels in 2026 with additional retail and packaging changes in 2027. » More on cnbc.com
