Columbia reports Q2 sales growth driven by international strength, warns of tariff headwinds
Columbia posted Q2 net sales of $605 million, up 6% year-over-year, with gross margin expanding to 49.1% and a loss per share of $0.19. International markets (EMEA and LAAP) delivered double-digit growth led by China, Japan and Europe, while U.S. wholesale and DTC softened. Management estimates a $35–$40 million tariff-related hit in 2025 and says it will absorb much of the cost this year while pursuing price, vendor and cost-efficiency mitigations. Full-year net sales are guided to $3.3–$3.4 billion (down ~1% to flat) with Q3 sales expected to decline 1–3% and EPS of $1.00–$1.20, and the company has implemented sustained cost-savings actions exceeding $70 million year-to-date. Inventory composition is described as healthy after earlier-than-planned fall receipts to mitigate tariff risk. » More on finance.yahoo.com
