Energizer shares fall after missed quarterly results and muted outlook
Energizer reported adjusted earnings of $0.75 per share for Q3 2026 (expectation $0.83) and revenue of $734.1 million, with both metrics below consensus. Management cut guidance, citing a 200–300 basis point slowdown in the batteries segment and significantly more cautious consumer behaviour. Analysts remain cautious (including a negative rating from Morgan Stanley and a Canaccord price target of $18.00) and the stock trades well below its 52-week high, leaving few near-term catalysts for a rerating. » More on de.investing.com
Energizer stock falls after disappointing quarterly results and lowered outlook
Energizer missed both revenue (USD 734.1m vs. ~USD 743m expected) and adjusted earnings per share (USD 0.75 vs. USD 0.83 consensus) in the third fiscal quarter of 2026, prompting a sharp drop in the stock. Management cut the full-year adjusted EPS guidance to the low end of the USD 3.30–3.60 range and lowered the Q4 outlook to USD 1.25–1.35, below the USD 1.39 consensus. Adjusted gross margin declined by about 560 basis points to 39.2% due to an unfavorable product mix and higher advertising costs, and high debt of roughly USD 3.3bn increases vulnerability to macroeconomic risks. Analyst reactions remained cautious with price-target adjustments and neutral ratings, signaling a challenging path to recovery. » More on de.investing.com
Energizer rises despite disappointing Q3 results after technical recovery and selective strengths
Energizer reported adjusted EPS of $0.75 for Q3 (consensus $0.83) and revenue of $734.1m (consensus $743.4m), and cut its guidance for organic growth in H2 to 0–1% (previously 4%). Investors, however, are focusing on strong segments: Auto Care delivered organic revenue growth of 9.5% and overall organic growth was 2.7% versus an expected 0.7%. Morgan Stanley and Barclays kept their ratings at "Equalweight" with price targets of $21.00 and $19.00, respectively, which, together with a technical recovery and a positive broader market, are supporting the stock today. » More on de.investing.com
