  • Gildan Activewear exceeds Q1 2026 expectations thanks to HanesBrands integration

Gildan Activewear reported adjusted EPS of $0.43 for Q1 2026 (estimate $0.3943) and revenue of $1.17 billion, driven by the full consolidation of HanesBrands. Adjusted gross margin improved by 180 basis points and adjusted operating income rose to $167 million. The stock jumped 8.63% in premarket trading. However, higher selling, general and administrative expenses and negative operating cash flow are weighing on short‑term liquidity. Gildan expects further revenue and margin improvements and cost synergies from the integration. » More on de.investing.com

  • Gildan Activewear reelected nine directors and renewed shareholder rights plan after HanesBrands deal

Shareholders approved the reelection of nine directors, appointed KPMG as auditor, renewed the shareholder rights plan and carried a non-binding say-on-pay vote at Gildan Activewear’s annual meeting. Management highlighted record 2025 sales of $3.6 billion (up 11%), over 35% total shareholder return, and completion of the HanesBrands acquisition on Dec. 1, 2025, financed with debt and stock including a roughly $1.2 billion senior unsecured note. Leverage rose to about 3x post-acquisition, prompting a pause on share repurchases until net debt to adjusted EBITDA returns to the 1.5–2.5x target. The company maintained 2026 guidance of $6.0–$6.2 billion in revenue, ~20% adjusted operating margin, adjusted diluted EPS of $4.20–$4.40 and free cash flow above $850 million. » More on finance.yahoo.com

  • Gildan posts record Q3 adjusted EPS as it advances HanesBrands acquisition

Gildan reported Q3 net sales of $911m, up 2.2% year‑over‑year, with Activewear sales rising 5.4% to $831m and record adjusted diluted EPS despite a slight decline in operating income and net profit. Hosiery and underwear sales fell 22.1% due to shipment timing and weaker mix, and international sales slipped 6.1%. Gildan confirmed it expects the HanesBrands acquisition to close later this year or early 2026 and kept full‑year guidance unchanged for mid‑single digit revenue growth, a roughly 70 bps increase in adjusted operating margin, and adjusted diluted EPS of $3.45–$3.51. » More on finance.yahoo.com
