Lotus Bakeries falls after Bernstein downgrade
Lotus Bakeries shares fall 3.4% to €12.40 after Bernstein downgraded the stock from "Outperform" to "Market-Perform". Bernstein cited a less attractive valuation following a roughly 60% price gain year-to-date and a high P/E of about 47, which it says already prices in the positive sales momentum of the Biscoff brand. Biscoff demand drives Lotus Bakeries: half-year profit and revenue rise sharply
Lotus Bakeries reported for H1 2026 a net profit increase from €79.4m to €98.1m, with group revenue up 14% to €749.1m. Adjusted EBIT rose 19.4% to €131.0m and the adjusted EBIT margin to 17.5%. Sales and volume of the core brand Biscoff each grew by more than 20%, with Europe as the largest driver.
