  • Nestlé expands cocoa sourcing in Brazil to diversify supply chains

    Nestlé is increasing cocoa inflows from Brazil to reduce its former dependence on West Africa. The company is working with hundreds of Brazilian cocoa farmers on regenerative farming methods to improve quality and yields and to cut expensive fertilizers. Cocoa trees take up to five years to reach full productivity, so effects on the global supply chain are likely to appear only in the medium term; according to the government, Brazilian production is expected to be significantly expanded within five years. » More on finanzen.net


  • Nestlé refocuses growth and concentrates investments on coffee and pet food

    At the Barclays conference Nestlé said its growth realignment is gaining momentum: real internal growth improved to 1.8% in the second quarter and the company is shifting resources to the 30% of its portfolio with higher growth. Coffee and pet food saw strong volume growth, while North America and the nutrition division continue to show weakness. Nestlé expects margin improvements, has already achieved CHF 600m of the planned CHF 2bn in savings, and is using portfolio simplification as well as targeted marketing and AI measures to gain market share. » More on de.investing.com


  • Nestlé considers marketing Cailler abroad after planned chocolate park in Broc

    Nestlé is considering marketing the traditional Cailler brand internationally, says Nestlé Switzerland head Cédric Boehm. A planned chocolate-themed park in Broc is intended to increase visitor numbers and international recognition; total investments of around 400 million francs are planned, financed and carried out by local investors.
