Horizon Aircraft appoints Tom Hearne to board of directors and as chair of audit committee
Horizon Aircraft has appointed Tom Hearne to its board of directors with immediate effect and named him chair of the audit committee. He succeeds Trisha Nomura, who is resigning for personal reasons but will remain an adviser and shareholder; the resignation is not related to disagreements over operations or financial reporting. Hearne brings more than 30 years of finance and management experience in technology companies, including as CEO of ARB Labs and in board roles at Enthusiast Gaming Holdings. Horizon Aircraft begins de-icing tests for Cavorite X7
Horizon Aircraft has started wind-tunnel tests to evaluate de-icing technologies for its hybrid-electric VTOL Cavorite X7. The tests, which have been running since July, use anti-icing technologies from the University of Toronto and are part of the INSAT project, funded with US$10.5 million in cooperation with Cert Center Canada. Horizon Aircraft completes flight-dynamics model for Cavorite X7, stock rises
Horizon Aircraft announced the completion of a six-degrees-of-freedom flight-dynamics and control model for the hybrid-electric VTOL Cavorite X7, after which the stock rose about 2.2% in premarket trading. Marshall Aerospace delivered the model and analyzed aerodynamic, propulsion- and mass-related effects to support the safety-critical control system.
