Sandoz seeks preliminary approval in US for $400 million settlement
US states have asked a federal court in Connecticut for preliminary approval of a settlement with Sandoz over alleged price‑fixing for generics. The agreement covers 43 US jurisdictions and provides for total payments of $400 million over seven years, about $320.6 million as settlement principal and $79.4 million in interest. Sandoz and Fougera Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary acquired in 2012, are accused of fixing prices and dividing markets; Sandoz denies the allegations.
