  • Large order and price-target increase boost Sandvik stock

Sandvik received an order from Kamoa Copper worth SEK 275 million for underground mining equipment for the Kamoa-Kakula mine, including a fleet of underground trucks and loaders — two of the loaders are equipped with autonomous AutoMine technology. The order will be booked in Q3 2026, and deliveries are scheduled to begin before year-end. Morgan Stanley raised its price target from SEK 368 to SEK 390, and the stock subsequently rose to SEK 398.5, within striking distance of the 52-week high of SEK 413.1. » More on de.investing.com

  • Disappointing order intake knocks Sandvik share down 7%

Sandvik shares fell about 7.1% in trading after the Q2 report, as order intake of SEK 37.80bn missed analysts’ forecasts of roughly SEK 39.24bn. Revenue (SEK 36.75bn) and adjusted EBITA (SEK 8.31bn) beat expectations, but the weaker order intake is seen as a negative signal for future demand. Additional selling pressure came from a negative market backdrop and continued analyst skepticism about the sustainability of tungsten-driven margin improvements. » More on de.investing.com

  • Sandvik narrowly beats Q1 EPS, revenue falls short of expectations

Sandvik reports Q1 EPS of 3.27 SEK versus a forecast of 3.26 SEK, while revenue of 30.7 billion SEK missed the expected 31.22 billion SEK. Order intake reached a record 36.8 billion SEK; orders rose 23% organically and revenue increased 15% organically. Currency headwinds weighed on margins (negative impact of 1.4 billion SEK on EBITDA), but the company remains optimistic thanks to strategic acquisitions, product innovation and strong demand in the mining and infrastructure sectors. » More on de.investing.com
