Siemens: "Made for Germany" raises investment commitments to 850 billion euros by 2028
At the interim review of the "Made for Germany" initiative in Siemensstadt, Siemens CEO Roland Busch said member companies have already invested more than 200 billion euros in Germany and are now aiming for investments of over 850 billion euros by 2028. Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced further reform steps to promote growth and increase foreign direct investment. Siemens' sale of the mobile-phone division to BenQ ended in insolvency and reputational damage
In 2005, under Klaus Kleinfeld, Siemens sold its loss-making mobile-phone division to the Taiwanese group BenQ, which continued to use the brand name and was supposed to keep the German sites. A year later, BenQ Mobile filed for insolvency, halted production and sparked protests by around 3,000 employees as well as legal battles. UBS confirms buy for Siemens with €330 price target
UBS keeps its rating on Siemens at "buy" and sets a price target of €330. Analyst Andre Kukhnin expects strong order growth in Digital Industries, Smart Infrastructure and Mobility, as well as organic revenue growth of around 9%. The Siemens share was trading on XETRA about 2.2% higher at €284.70, implying roughly 15.9% upside to the price target.
