Stora Enso posts unexpected IFRS loss and stock falls
Stora Enso reported an IFRS loss for the first half of 2026, which pushed the share price down about 4.1%. Adjusted EBIT rose to EUR 160m (+27%) and the margin improved, but the IFRS operating result fell to EUR 16m due to impairments and restructuring costs of EUR 83m and negative fair-value valuations of biological assets of EUR 61m. Revenue was flat at EUR 2,423m and operating cash flow dropped to EUR 212m, raising doubts about near-term cash generation. Management warned of continued market uncertainty from geopolitical tensions and trade volatility, so the discrepancy between adjusted and reported results is likely to remain a valuation risk. » More on de.investing.com
