Aspen Pharmacare raises forecast after strong profit and cash‑flow increase

Aspen Pharmacare reports for FY 2026 a normalised headline earnings per share (NHEPS) of 802 cents (+28%), normalised EBITDA of 7.7 billion ZAR (+14%) and free cash flow of 3.8 billion ZAR. Despite largely stagnant revenue, profitability improved through margin increases, lower costs and restructuring effects; the stock rose to near a 52‑week high. Aspen Pharmacare receives approval for Ozempic generic in Canada

Health Canada has approved Aspen‑Semaglutide, a generic semaglutide from Aspen Pharmacare for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. The drug is a generic version of Novo Nordisk’s Ozempic, made possible by the patent expiry on semaglutide.
