UBS upgrades arGEN-X to buy and raises price target to $1,400

UBS has upgraded arGEN‑X from “neutral” to “buy” and increased its price target from $960 to $1,400. Analyst Xian Deng calls the antibody specialist a “rare, highly successful growth story” and sees about $20 billion in revenue potential for the drug Vyvgart. Argenx rise toward record high after successful phase‑III trial of Vyvgart

Argenx shares jumped sharply after positive approval data for Vyvgart and reached their highest level since late July in early trading, most recently up 8.2% at €790. The phase‑III study in immune‑mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM) met its primary endpoint. Analysts view the data very positively and see blockbuster potential for Vyvgart; UBS cited a possible peak annual revenue of up to $5 billion in its forecasts. arGEN-X strengthens immunology pipeline with acquisition of Forte Biosciences

arGEN-X has signed a binding agreement to buy Forte Biosciences for $77 per share, valuing Forte’s equity at about $2.2 billion. The aim is to expand its immunology therapy platform with the development candidate FB102 (anti-CD122), which has shown clinical proof-of-concept in vitiligo and celiac disease and has further potential for autoimmune indications.
