Baidu makes Hong Kong listing its primary listing — stock jumps sharply

Baidu will convert its existing secondary listing in Hong Kong into a primary listing effective Sept. 1 while retaining a dual listing on the NASDAQ. The announcement sent shares traded in Hong Kong up more than 6%. Baidu launches driverless Apollo‑Go taxis on Uber platform in Dubai

Baidu is putting its fully autonomous Apollo‑Go vehicles into operation in Dubai via the Uber platform. Users can select the "Autonomous" option in the Uber app and may be assigned a robotaxi when booking UberX or Uber Comfort. The service launches in selected areas of Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah with the all‑electric RT6 model, and expansion of the operating area is planned. Baidu falls to yearly low after disappointing quarterly results

Baidu shares dropped 13% to HK$87.95, the lowest level since August 2025, after the company reported Q2 results that missed consensus estimates. Non-GAAP net income was CNY 2.6 billion (consensus CNY 3.1 billion), and total revenue was CNY 31.33 billion (consensus CNY 31.95 billion). The traditional online marketing business contracted sharply (online marketing -19% y/y), while AI-powered Baidu Core grew 25% and accounts for 50% of general business revenue; however, these gains have not yet fully offset declines in the advertising business.
