Fairview introduces BD Vmax 160 pharmacy robot in the US

Fairview Health Services has become the first US health system to put the BD Vmax 160 pharmacy automation robot into operation. The system automates storage, tracking and picking, particularly for specialty therapies and temperature-controlled medications, and is designed for temperatures of 2–8 °C. The BD Vmax 160 offers automatic replenishment with BD EasyLoad (three seconds loading time per container, 99.8% accuracy), automated labeling for all 50 US states and expiration-date recognition to prevent dispensing expired products.
