Berry approves merger with California Resources
Berry shareholders approved the merger with California Resources at a special general meeting. Around 73% of outstanding shares and 98% of votes cast approved the transaction; Berry shareholders will receive 0.0718 CRC common shares for each Berry share. Closing is expected on December 18, 2025; the takeover is valued at about $717 million including net debt and would leave existing CRC shareholders with roughly 94% of the combined company. Berry Corp reports quarterly loss ahead of merger with CRC
Berry Corp posted a net loss of $26 million ($0.34 per diluted share) in Q3 2025, compared with a year-ago profit of $70 million. On an adjusted basis the loss was $6 million, or $0.08 per share. The company generated $55 million of operating cash flow, adjusted EBITDA of $49 million and free cash flow of $38 million. Production remained steady at 23,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day, 91% of which was oil, and Berry reduced total debt by about $11 million during the quarter.
