Black Stone Minerals insider sells 29,386 shares but retains large stake
Luke Stevens Putman sold 29,386 common shares of Black Stone Minerals for about $425,000 on April 6, 2026, leaving him with 732,031 direct units. The sale is his second open-market disposition since February 2025 and does not involve options or indirect holdings. Black Stone, which owns mineral and royalty interests across major U.S. basins, reported recent beats on Q4 results, expects production growth from new agreements and offers a roughly 9% yield. Putman’s sale near the stock’s recent high does not appear to signal an exit, and the company plans to grow distributions toward over $2 per unit in the next five to ten years. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Black Stone Minerals expects production ramp in 2026 after new Shelby Trough and Haynesville deals
Black Stone Minerals reported strong 2025 commercial progress and signed development agreements with Aethon Energy and Catena Resources covering roughly 500,000 gross acres with minimum drilling commitments ramping to about 37 gross wells per year by 2031. The partnership ended 2025 at ~32,000 BOE/day, declared a quarterly distribution of $0.30 per unit, and projects material production growth through 2026 as wells from these agreements and Permian activity come online. Management is funding two proprietary 3D seismic surveys covering ~360,000 gross acres (mostly expensed in 2026) and has invested about $240 million in mineral and royalty acquisitions since 2023 to expand inventory. Executives say strong hedges, contracted minimums and growing LNG demand support confidence in funding distributions and long-term value creation for unitholders. » More on finance.yahoo.com
