Henry Boot warns of significantly lower annual profit after weak land sales
Henry Boot sharply cut its profit forecast for the year to 31 December 2026, citing macroeconomic uncertainty and lower transaction volumes. The Hallam Land division sold 556 plots in the first half versus 1,222 a year earlier, and far fewer sales than last year’s 3,957 units are expected for 2026. Stonebridge Homes reported lower completions and expects an operating loss in 2026 due to project delays and roughly 5% construction cost inflation; net debt rose to £132.9m. HBD performed positively, with strong demand for industrial and logistics space and an Origin JV that is now 75% let or reserved. » More on de.investing.com
