BrainChip brings Sequora IP for generative edge AI to market
BrainChip has unveiled Sequora Core IP, a licensable processor IP core that runs generative AI, including on-device LLMs, directly on battery-powered edge devices. Sequora can be scaled in combination with the Akida platform (from a few million up to 3 billion parameters), reduces memory and power bottlenecks, and enables speech, sequence and AI-agent functions without transmitting data in areas such as wearables, aerospace, defense, automotive and medical devices. The package is delivered as process-independent RTL code with an SDK, verification IP and toolchain, and can be integrated into custom SoCs. » More on finanzen.net
BrainChip reduces loss in Q2 2026 amid rising demand for AKD1500 chips
BrainChip reported Q2 2026 EPS of -$0.01 and revenue of $1.22 million; cash stood at AUD 20 million at the end of June. Management says it has sold 25% of the original inventory of AKD1500 chips, the product roadmap is on schedule, and a new IP offering is expected in about six months. However, there are yield issues in AKD1500 manufacturing, revenue is irregular and cash burn remains negative; financing options are being considered. The stock fell to $0.133 after the update and is approaching its 52-week low; investors are asking for clearer signs of sustainable revenue growth and cash-flow neutrality. » More on de.investing.com
