  • Cembra launches private placement to finance Santander deal

    Cembra is offering up to 601,801 of its own shares (about 2% of capital) in an accelerated bookbuilding to help finance the partial purchase of Santander’s Swiss vehicle financing business. Settlement is planned for around 28 July 2026; price and final share count will be announced after completion. The acquisition includes a portfolio of about CHF 800 million and nine partner relationships, with closing expected in November 2026.   • Cembra raises half-year profit and buys Swiss vehicle financing from Santander

    Cembra increased net profit in the first half of 2026 by 6% to CHF 92.3m thanks to a 9% reduction in operating expenses and improved the cost-to-income ratio to 43.5%. Net loans rose 2% to CHF 6.7bn, the loss rate remained solid at 1.1% and the tier-1 ratio at 17.7%. Cembra has agreed to acquire the bulk of Santander’s Swiss vehicle-financing business (portfolio about CHF 800m, nine partner relationships); closing is expected in November 2026.
