Eletrobras pays higher dividend despite lower quarterly profit and completes shift to 100% renewable energy

Eletrobras reported a Q3 2025 net profit decline to R$6.8 billion from R$7.2 billion a year earlier, but announced a dividend payment of R$4.3 billion for December, bringing total dividends for 2025 to R$8.3 billion. The company completed the sale of thermal plants and Eletronuclear, converting its portfolio entirely to renewable energy. Investments rose 57% to R$2.7 billion, mainly in transmission networks; regulatory EBITDA fell slightly, but adjusted earnings improved. Eletrobras: S&P affirms BB rating with stable outlook

S&P Global Ratings has affirmed the global credit rating of Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S.A. – Eletrobras at BB with a stable outlook, citing progress on efficiency, reduced contingent liabilities and simplification of the corporate structure. Eletrobras also reported that the Colíder hydropower plant in Mato Grosso, recently acquired from Copel, was placed in "ALERT" safety status due to drainage problems, posing operational risks for the facility. » More on de.investing.com
