Eletrobras pays higher dividend despite lower quarterly profit and completes shift to 100% renewable energy
Eletrobras reported a Q3 2025 net profit decline to R$6.8 billion from R$7.2 billion a year earlier, but announced a dividend payment of R$4.3 billion for December, bringing total dividends for 2025 to R$8.3 billion. The company completed the sale of thermal plants and Eletronuclear, converting its portfolio entirely to renewable energy. Investments rose 57% to R$2.7 billion, mainly in transmission networks; regulatory EBITDA fell slightly, but adjusted earnings improved. Eletrobras: S&P affirms BB rating with stable outlook
S&P Global Ratings has affirmed the global credit rating of Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S.A. – Eletrobras at BB with a stable outlook, citing progress on efficiency, reduced contingent liabilities and simplification of the corporate structure.
