Chartwell reports strong operating growth in Q2 2026, stock dips slightly

Chartwell reported solid operating results for Q2 2026: Funds from Operations rose 34% to CAD 90.5 million and FFO per share climbed 16.7% to CAD 0.28, while same-property occupancy increased to 94.3%. Revenue of CAD 330.48 million narrowly missed the consensus of CAD 333.77 million, and the net loss narrowed to CAD 1.3 million. Management expects occupancy of 95% by September and is targeting medium-term rent growth of over 4% with cost growth below 4%.
