CK Asset share falls after disappointing half-year result and lack of special dividend
CK Asset’s stock fell 6.4% to HK$45 after adjusted half-year profit of HK$6.64bn came in about 3% below analysts’ expectations and margins in its Hong Kong property business weakened. Contrary to market expectations, management did not pay a one-off special dividend, despite proceeds of HK$8.96bn from the sale of a 20% stake in UK Power Networks and HK$826m from the earlier Eversholt Rail disposal. Instead, only a regular interim dividend of HK$0.41 per share was proposed, intensifying the share-price correction. BofA maintained a buy rating with a HK$54 target, but investors are now reassessing how the released capital will be deployed. » More on de.investing.com
