Coronado Global Resources share falls after H1 update despite production and EBITDA improvement
Coronado reported sellable production in Q2 up 39% and adjusted EBITDA improved by about $96m, yet the share fell after the update. The company remains cash-negative but improved free cash flow year-on-year and secured a $75m prepayment facility from Glencore at 14% interest. Management expects 2024 production of 16–17 million tonnes, but has pushed Mammoth targets to around 1.8 million tonnes and emphasizes that the RESET realignment is not yet complete. Investors are worried about tight liquidity, high financing costs and outstanding revenue/EPS disclosures. » More on de.investing.com
Coronado Global Resources reports price increases in Q1 2026 despite operational issues
Coronado Global Resources saw its average realized group price rise 9.1% to $133 per tonne in Q1 2026; metallurgical coal increased 11% to $165 per tonne. The company offset cost and operational pressures such as a temporary pause at Mammoth Underground and a planned shutdown in the Curragh complex, and its share price rose 3.7% after the results. Coronado maintains its production and cost guidance for 2026, holds $120 million in cash and is pursuing operational realignments to generate cash, but sees risks from higher diesel costs and exchange rate fluctuations. » More on de.investing.com
