Danske Bank raises 2028 targets and announces DKK 5bn special dividend

Danske Bank reported a Q1 net profit of DKK 5.7bn, a return on equity of 13.1% and solid core income despite market volatility. The bank raised its 2028 targets to an RoE of over 14.5%, total revenues of around DKK 63bn and a cost-to-income ratio of ≤43%, and aims for annual productivity gains of about DKK 2bn through an AI program. Danske Bank raises profit on record revenues and announces share buyback

Danske Bank reported a Q4 2025 net profit of DKK 6.3bn (+14% versus the previous quarter) and a full-year net profit of DKK 23.0bn with a return on equity of 13.3%. Drivers were record revenues in the core business, notably higher fee income from asset management, as well as volume growth in loans and assets under management. The cost-to-income ratio improved to 45.5%, the Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio stands at 17.6%; impairments remained very low at 2 basis points.
