Exelixis: Cabometyx markedly reduces risk of progression in neuroendocrine tumors

Exelixis presented subgroup analyses from the phase‑3 CABINET study at ASCO showing Cabometyx reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 74% in non‑functional neuroendocrine tumors and by 60% in functional tumors versus placebo. Median progression‑free survival was 9.4 vs. 3.1 months (non‑functional) and 12.7 vs. 5.4 months (functional). The study included 298 patients; Cabometyx is approved in the US and EU for previously treated, advanced neuroendocrine tumors and, according to the market reaction, boosted growth expectations and analysts’ estimates.
