Greenfire Resources agrees to acquire all shares of Connacher Oil and Gas for about $1.277 billion in cash. The acquisition is expected to raise production to roughly 34,000 barrels per day in 2026 and to about 65,000 barrels per day in the long term; proved and probable reserves are combined at around 850 million barrels. Identified synergies amount to about $30 million per year. Financing will be via a reserve-based loan (access to ~$700 million) and a $575 million bridge facility, which is covered by a backstopped rights offering.
