Hamilton Beach Brands reported Q1 revenue of $122 million, down 8.6% year-over-year, while operating profit more than doubled to $5 million as gross margin widened to 29.7% from 24.6%. A 510-basis-point margin improvement reflected favorable pricing, mix and a one-time 190-basis-point benefit from IEEPA-related inventory sell-through after a tariff ruling. Management said weaker U.S. consumer demand pressured sales but highlighted growth in healthcare and commercial segments, new product launches and premium expansion.
