JBS renews takeover bid for Pilgrim's Pride with 2.086 Class A shares offer
JBS submitted a non-binding proposal to acquire the remaining Pilgrim's Pride shares, offering 2.086 JBS Class A shares per Pilgrim's Pride share, valuing the deal at $28.49 per share. If completed the transaction would delist Pilgrim's Pride from Nasdaq and simplify group structure by removing standalone public-company costs, allowing more flexible capital allocation. The proposal, which follows a withdrawn 2021 approach and comes while JBS owns about 82% of Pilgrim's Pride, is subject to review by a special committee and approval by unaffiliated Pilgrim's Pride shareholders and customary closing conditions. » More on finance.yahoo.com
JBS makes offer for remaining Pilgrim’s Pride shares
JBS is offering 2.086 Class A common shares for each Pilgrim’s Pride share and values them based on closing prices at $28.49. JBS already holds roughly 82% of Pilgrim’s Pride, which has a market capitalization of about $6.78 billion. The transaction requires review and approval by a committee of independent directors and by the minority shareholders. Both stocks rose about 1% in after-hours trading; the announcement follows JBS’s recent agreement with the Indonesian sovereign fund Danantara on a joint venture in protein production. » More on de.investing.com
JBS posts record revenue in Q2 2026, but results fall short of expectations
