Kazatomprom records solid H1 2026 growth thanks to higher uranium prices
Kazatomprom reported a 9% revenue increase in H1 2026 to 718 billion KZT and adjusted EBITDA of 371 billion KZT (+2%), while net profit fell to 240 billion KZT (−8.7%) due to exchange‑rate losses and higher financing costs. The average realized uranium price rose 16% to $67.88/lb, group production increased 9% and company production rose 10%. Kazatomprom calls extraordinary general meeting on large uranium sales and board change
Kazatomprom has announced a written extraordinary general meeting with record date September 11, 2026; the voting period runs from September 22 to October 6, with counting on October 7. On the agenda is approval of two significant sales of natural uranium concentrate to a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation in China and to Uranium One (Rosatom), with deliveries to Alashankou and the Siberian Chemical Plant; prices and volumes will not be disclosed for confidentiality reasons, the company says the terms are market-based. Kazatomprom pays 444 billion KZT to Kazakh state for 2025
Kazatomprom and its subsidiaries paid a total of 444.084 billion KZT to state bodies in fiscal year 2025. The payments consisted of 277.498 billion KZT in corporate tax, 150.502 billion KZT in mineral extraction tax, 3.817 billion KZT for infrastructure development and 12.267 billion KZT in other taxes; the largest contributors were Karatau LLP (98.937 billion), JV Inkai LLP (83.647 billion) and Turanium LLP (51.326 billion), while the parent company paid 6.389 billion.
