KBC Group raises 2026 outlook after strong second quarter
KBC Group reported a Q2 net profit of €1.152 billion and a return on tangible equity of 18%. Net interest income was €1.805 billion and fee and commission income reached a record €758 million. Management raised its 2026 guidance for total income, net interest income, insurance income and loan growth, and confirmed an interim dividend of €1 per share. KBC reports Q1 2026 net profit of €557m despite heavy tax burden
KBC posted a net profit of €557m in the first quarter of 2026 and confirmed its full-year guidance, even though bank and insurance taxes amounted to €549m in the quarter. Tangible return on equity was 16% (14% adjusted) and the cost-to-income ratio excluding taxes was 41%. Net interest income rose to €1,672m (+18% y/y) with a net interest margin of 2.17%, while the insurance and asset management businesses provided robust contributions. KBC Groep beats Q4 expectations and signals optimistic growth through 2028
KBC Groep reported an adjusted pre-tax profit of €1.4bn for Q4 2025, beating consensus forecasts by 5%; revenue was €3.2bn (+2%), driven by a 3% higher net interest income. Operating expenses were slightly above expectations, partly due to a one-off variable compensation, and impairments amounted to €0.1bn. The capital ratio was 10 basis points below expectations, and the dividend was set at €4.10 (-6%).
