Liberty Gold advances development of Black Pine gold project
Liberty Gold reports that Black Pine in Idaho is moving from exploration into the development phase and that the preliminary feasibility study (PFS) is on schedule for release in Q4 2026. The project contains 4.88 million ounces indicated and 1.0 million ounces inferred resources and, according to the PFS, shows strong economics with an after-tax NPV5 of CAD 2.4 billion at CAD 3,500/oz and a triple-digit IRR. Key steps before construction start remain completion of feasibility, permitting—including a targeted final Record of Decision for January 2028—and project financing; Liberty Gold currently holds sufficient liquidity and plans asset sales to cover interim costs. The company highlights the simple run-of-mine heap-leach design, low operating costs and an expected start of production in 2029 if studies and permits proceed as planned. » More on de.investing.com
