MDA Space has opened the MDA CHORUS™ control centre in St‑Bruno‑de‑Montarville, Québec, confirming the on‑schedule launch of the satellite constellation in late 2026 with commercial operations beginning in early 2027. MDA Space received a follow‑on order from Telesat LEO ULC worth $474 million to build 27 additional AURORA broadband satellites, increasing the total Lightspeed program order from 198 to 225 units. The majority of the contract value is expected to be recorded in backlog in the third quarter of 2026.
