Media affairs minister Wolfram Weimer called on Media for Europe and MFE chief Pier Silvio Berlusconi to take their commitments to preserve and strengthen the ProSiebenSat.1 site in Munich seriously after the change in leadership. With immediate effect, Marco Giordani, previously MFE’s chief financial officer, takes over the chairmanship of the executive board from Bert Habets, who will remain with the company in an advisory capacity until the end of the year. Markus Breitenecker has with immediate effect resigned as chief operating officer; the COO position will not be newly filled at board level.
